Spam Comment With Link To Its Article
We got this spam comment yesterday with link to the article itself: It points to the very article it tries to comment.
Some questions pop up instantly:
- Will marking this as spam give our Justaddwater blog bad karma in Akismet?
- Why would spammers do this? What are they trying to achieve?
- Has this anything to do with our declared spam filter free day on December 15?
For now, we blocked the comment but didn’t mark it as spam… Perhaps it would be most appropriate to delete the justaddwater URL, and then mark as spam? What do you think?

That is weird, I’ve never seen that before! Perhaps the spammers are trying to give decent sites a bad name. I’d remove your link and send it off to Akismet to deal with, at least you can’t be attached to it then.

Thanks for your comment, Phil! I have now replaced the url
from
justaddwater.dk/2005/12/02/yahoo-alerts-mail-rss/#respond
to
#respond
I really hope Akismet picks this up. (actually i accidentally marked the comment as spam with our justaddwater.dk url, so I hope Akismet does not misunderstand it)
