Place in heaven for Ajax programmers
Just saw this quote in the Zimbra blog.
After looking at the Zimbra Ajax client, Paul Ambrose (one of WebLogic’s founders and a good friend) said “There’s a special place in heaven reserved for whoever had the patience to get all the Javascript programming right.” On the mark I think. Building rich UI in Ajax today is simply too hard.
Yup, I’ll happily join the chorus here. I must say that I admire the Ajax libraries that are done right. This is a great help for making Ajax acheivable – not just for frontend javascript gurus – but also for the ordinary serverside programmer who does not want to know about browser incompatibilities etc.
